Do you need image therapy?! if so pop over to MAWTT this week

Good morning all

We have a new challenge today for you over at

Our lovely Carole is our hostess this week

and has chosen the theme

No image
(so you see - no image therapy required ha ha)

I've been struggling for time these last couple of weeks so decided to make an easy peasy card with some papers and stickers I bought last year - exactly for the purpose of quick Christmas Cards
.... except I didn't use them - now I'm sure none of you ever buy things that don't get used lol.

I've got a whole set of these toppers with Christmas words and they do make really quick cards -well it would have been quick except it took me half an hour to choose which papers to use, I have to admit that for me there's no such thing as a quick card - you have no idea how much I faf about (technical term!)
I'll have to get that Christmas card counter updated too -I think I'm into double figures now - that's an achievement in itself

Here's what I did...

Papers - Yuletide Greetings by Anna Griffin
Topper - from the Christmas Garland Embellishment set by Anna Griffin
Ribbon - Gold satin from carnmeal cottage
Card - Bazzill Basics

Challenges I'm entering with this card

Party time Tuesday - Anything Goes
The Cheerful stamp pad - use a sentiment
Crafting from the Heart - Anything goes
Completely Christmas - Anything Goes
Simon says - Anything Goes

Back to school with Penny's Papercrafty Challenge

Good morning all

Well its a whole week since I posted - and a really busy topsy turvy one at that!  Those of you who visit me often will know that I scribe for my son Tom for his Uni work because he has cerebral palsy and is unable to write up his work for himself.  He is at Newcastle Uni now doing a Masters degree and last week was essay deadline week - well being a real student obviously he had to work up to the wire so last week we had a whole lot of work going on - two 2am finishes and a few tantrums and tiaras on the way (that was me!!)  anyway the work's all done and submitted so we're on break for the summer - well he is anyway - I've got a whole lot of catching up on other things to do, and a bit of sleep to catch up on too - I'm so not cut out for the student life lol!!

I'm still on my vintage thing - enjoying the new goodies I bought when I went to Florida recently, and a few I bought before I went too!!

My favourite new "toy" - is gilding wax- I just love effect it gives and its so easy to use.  I also used my new feather dies from MFT, I couldn't decide what to use to cut them - I thought card would be too heavy for the effect and I remembered that I had some glassine paper tucked away that I had never used - it was just perfect for the feathers and gave a lovely effect.

Good morning all

I'm back today with my card for the challenge over at

Moving Along with the Times

we have one of those song themes going on over there this week!

Called

I heard it on the radio!

This theme has totally done my head in for about a week now because for some reason when I saw the theme I started to sing "You Don't Bring me Flowers Anymore"  and I pretty much haven't stopped yet! - For me-  I really like the song - for everyone else - I'm driving them round the bend - I have no idea why because I sound so much like Barbra Streisand you'd think they would be privileged to have a free performance without even stepping foot out of the door - it seems not hmmm.

Anyway here's my card using a really pretty flower stamp from Stampart design by Kathryne

Love is in the air at The Paper Shelter

Good morning all

Well I'm finally back - I've had almost 4 lovely weeks in the United States and another week recovering!!  I got a really nasty ear infection just before we got home and together with jet lag I just had no energy or inclination for craft, then my son Tom got a flu virus(proper flu not just a bad cold)  and my FIL got rushed into hospital when he collapsed - he's back home recovering  after a couple of days in hospital - so I think we've had our "3" and I've had enough of it all now lol

Anyway I'm back into the crafting swing with some catching up to do so I'm trying desperately to get things into some sort of order.

Todays challenge at

The Paper Shelter is

Love is in the air

I had a little look around at what was new while I was away and saw these fabulous digi papers iin TPS shop there are 12 in the set - such great value

They're called
Two Shades of Romance
and are available here
-I just love them and they are perfectly romantic for our Love challenge

I decided to get a little bit inky and make a gift bag using one of the papers in the set

This one has sort of pinky/sepia colours, I resized it to fit my gift bag before printing out and cut  smaller versions to make the tag and the flower  and I used my TH distress markers to highlight some of the flowers and words to highlight them.  I then distressed around the edges to darken them further, I really enjoyed myself making the flower and creating a vintage feel - my husband even comment - oh that looks French! - he said as he wandered by!!

As always we have a fab prize at TPS this week
- win 3 digis or if you use an image from TPS - the prize is a $30 gift voucher
how great is that!!
